The Austins of Derry Ladies' Open took place on Tuesday 27th May 08. We had a very good turnout for this popular open. We are very appreciative of the Sponsorship given by Austins, who have been sponsoring this competition for the past 30 years and we thank them for the beautiful prizes.
The course was in excellent condition and the weather was for most of the day very good. This was reflected in the scoring with the winner Lucy Smyth having a great score of 43 pts. Lucy has been playing great golf lately finishing second two weeks ago and winning a nine last Sunday and of course she had her first hole in one as well.

Next Tuesdays competition, 3rd June, is The Ulster Sports Trust. The winner of this will travel to Massereene Golf Club along with Lady Captain on Tuesday 19th August 08. Entry is via the computer time sheet.
