The Prehen Salver Open was
played for by the Ladies in glorious weather and the scoring was good.
We were fortunate enough to have The River Inn as sponsors for this
competition and we are very appreciative of the time and thought given
to the prizes by Deborah McEldowney from the River Inn. Deborah's choice
of prizes were very much in keeping with the weather we had on the day
and I would like to thank her on behalf of the Ladies' Branch.
The Prehen Salver was presented to the Ladies' Branch by the late Miss
Freda Craig MBE in 1998 after she had retired as Honorary Secretary
having completed over 50 years service to the club. The first winner of
the Salver in 1998 Pamela Rutherford managed to repeat her victory ten
years later by winning again this year.
The CSS was 71 for members and visitors.
Next weeks competition 20th May is the Victory Cup. There will be a draw
for markers on Monday night at 7.30. A sheet for names is on the notice
board in the locker room.
