Last Friday saw the Ladies' of City of Derry Golf Club competing for the most prestigious prize of the year, Lady Captain's prize. The weather was reasonably kind with only a few showers. Noreen Allen wasn't put off by the rain and recorded a remarkable score of 43 pts. This was Noreen's second major victory as she won Mr Captain's prize for Ladies the week before. Noreen's golf has been steadily improving all year and in fact she has seen her handicap reduced from 27 to 23 in the last two weeks. Keep up the good work Noreen. Cheryl Chambers who finished in second place with 41 pts has also reduced her handicap to 23. Third and fourth place went to Esther Milligan and Ciara Quigg with 39 and 38 pts respectively. It was no surprise to see these two ladies in the mix given recent form. Naoimh Quigg won the gross with a very respectable 35 gross pts playing off 3. The nines were won by Lucy Smyth and Anne McGoldrick. Well done to all the winners Results and report supplied by Pamela Rutherford Sec. Ladies Branch
