Gary Leckey birdied the second and third hole and the ninth to help him to a first nine total of 23 points that was followed by 19 more on the back nine and ultimate victory in Prehen’s Sunday Society. A tiebreak on 40 points was needed to decide second and third place with David Spence (6) edging out David Jones (18). The next three places were also decided on a count back, Colum Murphy taking fourth on 38 points with 22 of them on the back nine, Ken Quigley (16) taking fifth and the final prize winner was Graham Hepburn (6).
