Pat King (17) took the top prize in the weekly Thursday society at
Prehen carding an excellent 42 points with 22 of them coming on the
front nine. Double bogeys at the “Changeling” and “the Spires” were his
only real mistakes and they were more than off set by a run of five
consecutive fours to finish on a high note. Fred Young (8) like good
wine continues to improve with age and he scored a very steady 40 points
to take the runner up spot. His back to back birdies at “the Quarry and
“the Widows” along with a superb three at the ninth put a fine gloss on
his scorecard. Raymond Taylor (9) took the final podium spot with a
steady 39 points.
