Prehen’s very popular Sunday society was back in action once again after
the summer break and Prehen’s longest hitting lefthander took the
honours. Terence Dunlop (9) finished with 40 points, a single point
ahead of society regular Vincent O Callaghan (21). Third place went to
John Spangler (13) who was best of three men on 38 points, a count back
giving him the decision over George Baldrick (16) and Jim O Hagan (21).
Veteran member Barney McDaid (12) was sixth on 37 points and is surely a
marvellous example to everyone with his happy go lucky approach to the
game.
