Fifteen-year-old Matthew Doak (7), the youngest in the field has only been playing golf for 13 months but it didn’t stop him playing in and winning the hamper competition at Prehen on Saturday. Matthew dropped just one shot to par in compiling an excellent 32 points over thirteen holes. Runner up with the same points was Phillip Donnelly (12) who lost out to the winner on a count back. Rodney Smyth (13) was third with 31 points and Ricky Porter took the final prize, his score matching Rodney’s but once again losing out on the count back.
