Category one golfer Terry Coyle has an impressive total of 108 points for third spot and Rodney Smyth is five behind that on 103. The next three places are taken by three former skippers of the society, Ken McClintock on 101, Mickey McCann on 100 and George Simms on 99. So while first and second places look to be settled the rest of the prizes are still up for grabs. The postponed Harry Bryson Trophy will now taKe place this coming Thursday and the date and venue for the Ted Pope Trophy has been agreed. Strabane golf club will host the competition on Thursday 26th April 2007. The first tee has been reserved from 12.30 to 2 .00 pm

Inclement weather and essential course maintenance work meant that no
play was possible in the weekly Thursday Society competition at Prehen.
Meanwhile a look at the society's golfer of the year table shows the current leader Davy Godfrey
to be in an almost unassailable position. From a modest 13 outings he
has amassed the not inconsiderable total of 137 points. Alastair
Crockett another regular points gatherer lies in second place on 128.
