*Break of tie 17 Hole
Stableford Winter golf holds no terror for Clive Brolly (11) as once again he overcame the elements to record another victory in Prehen’s Sunday Society. Playing in incessant rain he recorded a fine 39 points over the 17 holes for a tie breaking win over Davy Jones (15). 22 of the winners points were scored on the vital back nine. John Chambers (15) slipped into third place on 38 points, an ugly six at the 17th doing him no favours. Paul Glackin (9) did his Jimmy Bruen team prospects no harm, his 38 points giving him fourth place over low handicapper Graham Hepburn on a count back. Terry McHale (19) salvaged some Scottish pride after Saturday’s loss to Ireland in the rugby scoring 34 points and securing 6th place.
