Andrew Temple (13) a member of Foyle Golf Club will savour his victory in Sunday’s Save the Children Open at Prehen with pride and particularly for his remarkable feat in recording back-to-back eagles. Andrew’s achievement of this most unusual feat took place at Prehen’s tenth and eleventh holes giving him ten of his winning 42 points at those two holes alone. Second place went to another visitor from Foyle, Kevin Dunn (11) who had 40 points despite a nasty blank at the penultimate hole. Big hitting Cathal Woods (7) took the third spot with 39 points break of tie. Dermot Crossan (18) won the front nine with 21 points break of tie and Ciaran Morrison (13) took the back nine with a fine 23 points. Best of the ladies was lady secretary Pam Rutherford (22) on 37 points and Florence Walker finished second on 34 points break of tie.
