Davy Godfrey (16) was best of the day at Prehen in the weekly Thursday Society. In dry but bitterly cold weather Davy amassed a fine 33 points for a two point winning margin which would have been more if he hadn't missed a tiddler at the Quarry having left his ball only inches from the hole with his tee shot. John Gallagher (12) returned to the winning enclosure after a long absence securing second place on a tie break with 31 points including a decisive two at Billy's which was just enough to edge out the formidable Foncey O Kane (13).
