The final Christmas Hamper was played on Saturday and remarkable to say the first three places were taken by pensioners and best of the day was John Gallagher (11) who scored 32 points including a birdie two at the third hole. He was followed home by another pensioner Barney McDaid (9) who was best of a threesome on 31 points. Last years captain Malachy Doherty (15) took the third prize and the only “youngster” to finish in the prizes was Ortie Phillips (9).
