Following the qualifying
round at City of Derry, Rathmore G.C. and City of Derry reached the
final by one shot from Roe Park G.C. In a hotly contested final,
played in a very sporting manner, Juvenile Captain Kealan Quigg led the
way with a resounding 7/6 victory this was closely followed by a great
victory by young Sean Devine by a 4/3 margin, Rathmore quickly responded
with victories by Jonathon Hunter and Owen Craig. Alexander Kerr had
already gotten a half match so it was left to Mathew Doak and Adam
Monaghan to clinch victory, both players winning on the 18th green.
Following a presentation dinner the trophy was presented by Martha Allen
to City of Derry Captain Wyn Donnell.
