Ciaran Morrison (13) took the
top prize in Sunday’s Abel Electric Open Stableford, with a fine 40
points but needing a tiebreak to push Alfie Kane (13) into second place
Ken Quigley (18) finished in third place on 39 points. One handicapper
Conor Connolly from Portsalon was best of the low men scoring an
excellent 70 to take the gross prize. Robbie Kennelly (10) flattered to
deceive arriving on the tenth tee with 22 points but ran out of steam
and had to settle for the front nine. Neil Brown (12) took the back nine
on 21 points. The ladies section was won by Marie Clifford (26) on 40
points finishing one ahead of Anne Wallace (17), 39 points. Third place
went to Esther Milligan (19) on 38 points
