Mickey McCann (17) took full advantage of the glorious weather to record his second win in as many weeks at Prehen in the weekly Thursday Society competition. Halves of 22 and 20 gave him a winning 42 points total and of course the handicapper will be paying particular attention to his exploits, not that Mickey will be complaining. A superb back nine of 23 points was just enough to give Ken McClintock (16) the verdict for second place, both he and Gerry Kelly (20) having 41 points albeit on a tiebreak.
