McAnullas in Tune in Team Classic

Beautiful, calm early autumn conditions were the order of the day at Prehen on Sunday as teams set out to play the End of Season Team Classic. Given the current work being done on the course the teams all coped pretty well but at the end of the day it was the much fancied team of Graham Hepburn, Tony Bradley, Dan McAnulla and Rosaleen McAnulla who did the damage and claimed the top prize with 93 points. With two birdies and an eagle at the Par 4 Spires it was Graham Hepburn who was the star of the show. The other player weighed in when they weren’t too tired with Dan and Rosaleen balancing the scoring pretty evenly over the closing holes. As always Tony Bradley could be counted on to deliver his share of scores and his three at “The Widows” was much appreciated by the team.  The most feared team on the day was that of  Naoimh Quigg, Vivienne Houston, Ciara Quigg and Gerda Laird! These ladies have already experienced victory at City of Derry in recent months and there are those who claim that they are a team who could take on all comers.  A well compiled 47 points on the front nine set the scene for a very steady overall performance which ended when the ladies carded a 92 point total to take second place.
