*Break of tie |
With the sun beaming on the
course at City of Derry a host of golfers decided to make excuses to
either work or the wife and head for the fairways! By the end of the
competition it was Robert Simpson(12) who had found the most
fairways and deal best with the slick greens to top the table on a
marvellous score of 40 points. But it it took a back six break of
tie for Robert to edge out the long hitting Brian Durnin(15) who
finished on the same score. Kealan Quigg(3) remembered his pencil on
this occasion which is just as well because, having signed his card,
he finished third with 39 points and claimed the gross prize.
Richard Hamilton(18) grabbed fourth spot with a score of 39 points
with only a break of tie over the last six holes denying him third!
