On the best golfing day of the weekend with the
greens receptive and the winds light Ciaran Gillespie (11), just
newly joined under the fabulous 3 Year Centenary Membership Deal,
showed just how to play the Prehen course. Very steady play saw him
amass 35 points to just edge out competition committee stalwart Mike
Carroll(17) on break of tie over the back nine. Mike won’t be too
bothered though as a host of other players were pecking at his tail
feathers but he’s the one assured of a Christmas turkey dinner!
