Robbie Kennelly (12) the
club captain in 1998 rolled back the years to record a narrow victory
in the past captains and presidents prize at Prehen on Thursday. He
was best, albeit on a tiebreak of a trio on 28 points over the 13
holes played. Eddie Leonard (16) the 2003 captain was second and the
1988 captain Ciaran Burke (8) finished third. It was mentioned during
the after dinner speeches that the last time Robbie was involved in a
prize giving was during his year as captain but that may be
inaccurate. Suffice to say that the day was superbly organised with
everyone enjoying the occasion
