The last man to finish, John O Doherty (16) was first past the post in the weekly Thursday Open at Prehen.He had a grand total of 38 points but the vital back nine yielded him the huge total of 23 points and that gave him the verdict over Irish Junior international Sean Morrison (1) on the count back. Sean also had the best gross score, a very impressive 70. Third place was taken by early starter Gerry Gormley (15) who managed to score 37 points despite having three blanks. He also matched the winners 23 on the back nine and pushed Aidan Devine (13) into fourth place on a tiebreak. Paul Wallace (3) from Greencastle was best of the visitors with 36 points, a tiebreak coming into play once again
