An opening birdie two at Prehen’s difficult par three first hole was the key to Kevin Quigg’s (4) win in the weekly Thursday Open at Prehen. A level par best of the day gross score on both nines gave him a fine total of 40 points. Second place on 39 points was taken by the in form Fred Young (8). John O'Doherty (17) finished in third place on a break of tie 38 points and the best visitor was Open regular John Harkin (12) from the Buncrana Golf Club. Opens continue on a weekly basis until October and along with the Monday meal and golf deal represent truly great value.
