John Woods (10) was in scintillating form at Prehen on Thursday romping home four shots clear of the field to win the coveted Harry Bryson Trophy. He dropped only three shots to par scoring 43 points in the process. A tiebreak was needed to separate John Gallagher (15) and Aubrey Taylor (8) who both recorded 39 points with the verdict going to John courtesy of a stronger finish. Ortie Phillips (12) had 21 points to take home the first nine prize and Noel Kehoe (senior) (16) was best of the day on the home stretch with a nicely compiled 22 points.
