Gary Leckey (8) was back to winning ways again on Sunday taking first place in the annual St Vincent de Paul Open, his 41 points giving him a clear three point margin on the chasing pack. A break of tie was needed to separate Graham Hepburn (7), John Hancock (12), Barney McDaid (14) and Ken Quigley (17) who finished in that order respectively all of them on 38 points. Best gross went to Jayson McIntyre (10 on 36 points, best visitor to Michael Gillen (12) Redcastle on 28 points with the nines going to John Kerrigan (20) and George Pearson (21) on 22 and 21 points respectively. Best of the ladies was Kathleen Desmond (28) on 39 points, second was Geraldine Crossan (11) on 37, third went to Kathy Jackson (26), fourth was Catherine O Doherty (31) on break of tie 36 points and the fifth place was taken by Noreen Allen (21) on 36 points.
