Superb weather conditions, a massive entry, amazing prizes and a nail
biting climax all combined to ensure that the Texaco Bridgend Team
Classic played at Prehen over the weekend kept it’s title of the most
popular event in the club. Two teams tied on the winning score of 182
points with the verdict going to Eamon McCourt (9), Robbie Kennelly
(12), Suki Nagra (14) and Sean Coyle (20), their second day score of 93
points relegating the very generous event sponsor’s team into second
place. Michael Doherty (22) led that team along with J P McAllister
(15), John Mallon (15) and Jimmy Wilson (12). Third place went to Brian
Abel (19), Angela McClenaghan (24), Sean Edwards (14) and Eamonn Maxwell
(16). They had a total of 181 points, 95 of them on the second day.
Fourth place went to John O Donnell (8), Sean Devine (13), Rose Campbell
(14) and Geraldine Crossan (12) on 180 points.
