Alfie Kane (12) was back in the winners enclosure at Prehen on Saturday
taking first place in a well compiled 41 points, an exceptional score
when you consider that play was from the very back of the Yellow markers
and the going would be considered “soft” in racing parlance. Second
place went to Kevin Caldwell (20) obviously benefiting from his four
rounds in a day charity marathon in which he participated last year and
scoring a steady 40 points. He was followed home by Neil Browne (11) on
39 points on a count back. The gross prize went to Ernie Heywood (1) who
along with Aaron Taylor was round in level par 71 and a count back was
needed to determine
