*Break of tie John Hancock (10) Prehen’s long serving Ulster Cup captain once again set out his stall for a place in his next season’s team with a win in this weeks Turkey competition. His 27 points over the 12 holes played gave him a tie breaking victory over Ciaran Gillespie (12) who won his Christmas dinner earlier in the year and now has a bottle of spirits to go with it. Category 2 (13-17) Raymond McLaughlin (14) is enjoying a great run of form at the minute and now has his Christmas dinner, his 27 points leaving him two points clear of John Rosborough (13) who took second place on a four way tie break. Category 3 (18-28) Local man Davy Godfrey (21) took home the turkey in his division with 25 points leaving him one clear of Bob Coull (18) who was second on a tie break courtesy of a fine two at "Billy’s". Note: Turkey and spirits competitions are played in categories determined roughly by how many are in each division. Its not written in stone but we try to have a balance so that the same numbers are competing in each class. |
