Promotions based at Maydown Industrial Estate were the generous
sponsors of Saturday's Open Stroke and a huge entry found the course
and the conditions very much to their liking. James Harrigan (22)
went round in 67 nett for a one shot victory over Jayson McIntyre
(1), his 69 gross being the best gross on the day as well giving him
second
place overall. Tom McClintock (14) took the third prize from Paul Gillespie (14) both players also on 68 nett, a tie break deciding the places. Ron Warnock (12) had a nett 33 to win the first nine and John Hamilton (8) went round the back nine in 34 shots, nett 30 to take the second nine |
