Young Ciaran Morrison (20) is
certainly posing some problems for the handicapper at Prehen with his
recent good form. Just finished his College schooling he is spending the
summer just " chilling out" and practising his golf, to great effect
obviously with a fine winning 44 points in the popular Prehen Thursday
Open. Equal halves of 22 points gave him a two shot winning margin over
North West member John Meehan (12) who as a teacher is also working on
his golf during the holidays. A former member of Prehen John remarked on
the wonderful condition of the Prehen course and after shooting a
lifetime best he was more than happy to sing it's praises. Ortie
Phillips (11) finished third on a tie break with 39 points and best
visitor once again was Brian Wallace from Dunfanaghy completing a
remarkable hat trick of visitor prizes. Johnny Harding (1) went round in
69 shots to take the gross prize. |
